Inspiring Travel at TCS
As the marketing team searched for a full-time social media manager, I stepped in to assist while continuing with my freelance writing duties.
For about six months, I selected images and wrote social media captions for TCS’ Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

In 2015—as the concept of a branded social media presence was still an emerging approach for companies online—I worked closely with our marketing team to:
Lead the company Instagram, our fastest growing social channel
Spearhead visual and copy guidelines that became established best practices
Create social media copy for our brand as well as for the unique personas of our 50+ partners
Develop and implement content calendars
Assist with acquisition marketing campaigns and partner with other brands and fitness influencers
Building Community at Foundation Gym
Between 2018-2024, I led Foundation’s social media efforts, which exemplified our community values, engaged existing members, and inspired a growing audience around the globe.
Social media messaging in the midst of COVID-19
Washington State’s mandated Stay At Home order meant that Foundation’s facilities were closed, forcing the gym owners to pivot their decade-long business model in a matter of weeks.
I was a key contributor to company (re)action plans, providing social media marketing, virtual class content, and email communications strategies:
Designed, wrote, scheduled, and deployed social media content that resonated with our clients as well as a general fitness audience.
Assisted with informative and proactive email communication to members about membership details, class schedules, and safe equipment rentals.
Established company-wide social media calendar to streamline class content and improve organization processes while staff adjusts to coaching and collaborating remotely.
